My dance chart is prepared approximately each Friday morning from actual
song play data. That data is drawn from every track played during the past several weeks,
during every set (club, event, online, etc.).
Chart position is determined solely by play frequency; the more I play a track,
the higher its position. That is obviously
influenced by requests, my personal preferences, new releases, and other factors,
but the ranking is solely play frequency based. As a result, you will from time-to-time
see older releases make an appearance, along with other interesting anomalies.
