Coming Soon: Ben Coen Check This Out (Wesley King Mix)
Italy's Ben Coen is a runway model with great looks—and a great voice to match! I was honored to be asked to provide a remix for Ben's first release, Check This Out, for New York's Sirenia Records. The result was a sort of Italo-disco inspired mix that I thought turned-out quite nicely. I hope you all enjoy it.
Stay tuned to Twitter, Facebook
or MySpace for more info, or just sign-up for my mailing list to get notified as soon as the track hits.

Coming Soon: Nivek Tek feat. Carol Hahn A Little Respect (Wesley King Mix)
LA-based ISV Entertainment is working on a maxi-single release of Nivek Tek's awesome cover of the Erasure hit, A Little Respect, for release in early Spring. The original version of the track can be found on CAPP Records' Best of 80s Dance, Volume 3 compilation, which is available now. The maxi brings my girl Carol Hahn to the project, with great new harmonies and a couple of completely new parts, plus a remix from yours truly. And Nivek does a truly stellar job of belting-out this really difficult tune.
As always, stay tuned to Twitter, Facebook
or MySpace for more info, or just sign-up for my mailing list to get notified as soon as the track hits.

Coming Soon: Tania Mashay What You Do To Me (Wesley King Mix)
Miami dance record label 8025 Alliance is prepping the latest release from their Billboard-charting recording artist Tania Mashay, a new original track titled What You Do To Me. Tania's vocals have been compared to the ever-popular Rozalla, and this crowd-pleaser will be out sometime in the February/March timeframe. In addition to my own remix, you'll find mixes from Miami's own DJ Maximus 3000 and many more.
I don't have an ETA yet on this release, but stay tuned to the usual channels (Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, my mailing list) for news.

Out Now: Carol Hahn Into the Night (Wesley King Mix feat. John Herdt)
Carol Hahn originally penned and recorded this song back in 1983, and has repeatedly had requests to revisit the track since. This year, she does, and to great effect. With revised lyrics, a re-recorded vocal, and a bunch of strong remixes, it has a lot going for it. What I heard in this song was sultry, sexy and dark, and that's what I tried to go for in my remix. With its rock guitar elements, performed by John Herdt, it has a bit of an unconventional sound that I hope people enjoy.
I'm very proud of this remix, despite that unconventional flavor. Along with mine, you'll find remixes from VisionX, Loverush UK!, Groove Police, and several others.
You can catch it in my sets, and it'll show-up frequently in my House Party mixshows.

Out Now: Vincent Medugno The Reason (Wesley King Mix)
This long-awaited remix is finally out! Done for New York City's Vincent Medugno, the mix is of his new single, The Reason. This is a remake of the popular rock ballad originally from Hoobastank.
I love how this remix turned out, with its rich, layered sounds, and I hope you enjoy it.
You can catch it occasionally on my mixshows as well.

Out Now: Carol Hahn Take Me and Dance (Wesley King Mix)
I'm excited to announce that my most recent remix is imminent! Carol Hahn's latest single, Take
Me and Dance, is an original composition written by Carol—a high energy
track that's going to work great for both clubs and radio.
In addition to my Wesley King remix, there are mixes from the inimitable Lenny
B., Spain's VisionX, and more. I really enjoyed putting this remix together, and
you can hear a preview below.

Out Now: Worldwide Groove Corporation You Still Give Me Butterflies (DJ Wesley Mix)
Worldwide Groove Corporation's
awesome chill track, You Still Give Me Butterflies, including a DJ
Wesley remix, is available on
iTunes and AmazonMP3.
I had a great time preparing this remix for WGC. It's a challenging track, given
its mellow starting point, and the rich, jazzy, modulating vocals. But I'm very
pleased with the end result, I hope you are too.

About DJ Wesley
DJ Wesley (a/k/a Wesley King, Wesley Bryant-King, and occasionally DJ Wes) is a club DJ, producer/musician, radio program director, and writer based
in Denver, Colorado, with a passion for dance music—specifically, progressive and electro house music. He
also enjoys and spins mainstream club music (pop remixes), filter house, and even
techno and trance. Within any genre, Wes typically embraces music that is high-energy,
yet melodic and vocal, wanting people to enjoy the music itself as much as they
enjoy dancing to it.
As a DJ, Wes performs at dance clubs, lounges, private parties and events, and on
Internet radio. With a smooth, radio-friendly voice, Wes often brings something
a little different to the mix, stoking the crowd during club sets, keeping things
moving while emceeing events, or just generally hamming it up and entertaining a
crowd.
Wesley has, as a producer and musician, written dozens of songs over the years, from jazz piano compositions in the style of old standards, to ambient electronic pieces, and various steps in between. A keyboardist and vocalist, Wesley is today focusing on production and remix projects that are in the house music genre, in all its various forms, and has completed remixes for several prominent dance artists.
Wes is the Program Director for
iDanceRadio.fm, an Internet radio station launched in early 2009, with a
focus on providing more variety in song choices and dance music styles than existing
stations offer. Alongside many of the country’s top DJs, Wes has his own weekly
mixshow on the station, where he performs live every Friday night.
As a writer, Wes blogs regularly about dance music and the dance music industry
at blog.djwesley.com. As
a contributor to DJ Times magazine,
Wes enjoys evaluating and writing about some of the latest high-tech toys for DJs
and producers.
